We sell the following digital product:
"How to Escape the Local Scene: The Step-by-Step Checklist for Rock & Metal Bands"
This is a digital information product. It is not a physical item and will not be shipped to you. No user account is required. You receive access to your download immediately after purchase.
By purchasing from us, you confirm that:
The standard price for the product is £29.00 GBP. Where our website detects your location based on your IP address, prices may be displayed in your local currency for convenience. The final charge will be processed in the currency displayed at checkout via Stripe.
Prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes where required by law. We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time, but the price you see at the time of your purchase is the price you will pay.
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards supported by Stripe.
By completing your purchase, you authorise Stripe to charge the payment method you have provided. We do not store, see, or have access to your full payment card details at any time. These are handled entirely by Stripe's secure, PCI-DSS-compliant payment infrastructure.
Your purchase is complete when Stripe confirms that payment has been successfully processed.
Your digital product will be made available for download immediately upon confirmed payment. A download link will be provided on the confirmation page after your purchase and/or via the email address you provided at checkout.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the email address you provide at checkout is correct. If you do not receive your download link within 24 hours of purchase, please check your spam/junk folder and then contact us at theroadjournals@gmail.com.
Because this product is a digital file that is delivered instantly upon payment, we do not offer refunds once the file has been accessed or downloaded. Before completing your purchase, you will be asked to tick a checkbox confirming that you understand and agree to this policy.
By ticking the consent checkbox at checkout, you expressly request immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 is lost upon the content becoming available to you.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable UK law. Where required by law, we will provide remedies including a replacement or re-delivery of the file if you have genuinely not been able to access the download, or a refund in circumstances where the digital content is not as described or is materially defective.
If you believe there is a genuine issue with your purchase, please contact us at theroadjournals@gmail.com and we will work to resolve it fairly.
If for any reason your payment is confirmed but the file has not yet been made available to you, you retain the right to cancel and receive a full refund. In this unlikely scenario, please contact us immediately at theroadjournals@gmail.com.
This section applies to buyers purchasing from within the European Union or European Economic Area.
If you are purchasing from within the EU or EEA, you may ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU). However, this right does not apply to digital content where delivery has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.
By ticking the consent checkbox at checkout, you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that, once the content has been made available to you, you waive your 14-day withdrawal right pursuant to Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.
Nothing in this clause limits any other mandatory rights you may have under the laws of your EU member state or EEA country that cannot be excluded by contract.
This section applies to buyers ordinarily resident in Australia.
If you are purchasing as a consumer ordinarily resident in Australia, the Australian Consumer Law ("ACL"), set out in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), may apply to your purchase. The ACL provides statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by contract.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the ACL. To the extent that the ACL applies, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. If the product is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a replacement or refund and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
To claim under your ACL rights, please contact us at theroadjournals@gmail.com with details of the issue.
There is no federal right of return on digital goods in the United States. For buyers purchasing from the United States, no refund is available in respect of a digital download that has been accessed or delivered, except where required by the applicable law of your individual US state. If you believe your state law entitles you to a remedy, please contact us at theroadjournals@gmail.com.

The product provides information, guidance, and checklists intended to help rock and metal bands. However, we make no guarantee, representation, or warranty that following the advice in the guide will produce any specific outcome or result. Results will vary depending on your individual circumstances, effort, market conditions, and many other factors outside our control.
We believe the information in the product is accurate and up to date at the time of publication. However, we make no warranty as to the completeness, accuracy, or suitability of the content for any particular purpose. The music industry changes rapidly, and some information may become outdated over time.
Nothing in the product constitutes legal, financial, or professional advice. You should seek independent professional advice before making decisions that may have legal or financial implications.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law or under any applicable mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
Our website may contain links to external websites for information or convenience. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party website. Visiting such sites is at your own risk.
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or your purchase, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales, regardless of the country from which you access or purchase from the Website.
By purchasing from this Website, international buyers agree that the contract formed is governed by English law and submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for the resolution of any dispute.
The choice of English law in clause 12.1 does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of residence that cannot be contractually excluded or waived. For the avoidance of doubt:
In the event of any dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter informally before commencing any legal proceedings. Please contact us at theroadjournals@gmail.com setting out the nature of your complaint and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge your email within 5 business days and respond substantively within 14 days.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days of your initial contact, either party may pursue their available legal remedies in accordance with clause 12.
We will not be liable for any delay in, or failure of, performance of our obligations under these Terms where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: technical failures of third-party payment processors (including Stripe), internet or telecommunications outages, acts of God, government action, fire, flood, pandemic, or industrial action.
Where such an event occurs, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable. If the event continues for more than 14 days, either party may treat the contract as discharged, and we will refund any amount paid for a product not yet delivered to you.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severed from these Terms. The validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and The Road Journals in relation to your purchase of the product. They supersede and replace any prior representations, discussions, or arrangements between us relating to the same subject matter. Nothing in this clause shall limit or exclude any liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at theroadjournals.com. Your continued use of the Website or any future purchase constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
